Observation and Deconstruction of Identity Formation: Method(s) of Mindfulness in Conflict Transformation
By
Dr. Anja Zalta and Uroš Dokl
Our presentation wishes to present various methods of conflict transformation, designed for children and teenagers from different multicultural and multi-religious environments. Our method is based on Mindfulness, combined with the understanding of violence as a result of identity antagonism. Results show changes in understanding of each other in conflict. With such actions we help them to understand the identity formation process and to re-evaluate their role in conflict. It also encourages them to see and understand perspectives of all involved.
